BluJay Solutions, a leading provider of supply chain software and services powered by the world’s first Global Trade Network, today announces that ao.com, one of the UK’s largest online retailers of white goods, tech and electricals, have deployed BluJay’s DropShip solution to support delivery of its vast product range.

AO, famed for its delivery fulfilment standards, has chosen to partner with BluJay Solutions to enhance its supply chain operations. Following a recommendation, AO was impressed by BluJay’s record on rapid, secure data transfer and its wide range of supplier relationships.

As ao.com expands its product offering, a high-capacity drop-shipping system is essential for supporting its growth strategy.

BluJay’s DropShip solution helps to streamline ao.com’s transactional processes, helping to ensure it maintains its on-time delivery reputation; sustaining high customer approval rating.

The partnership also gives AO access to BluJay’s Commerce suite, its Global Trade Network of logistics firms and the hundreds of suppliers in its DropShip network, opening the door for further product expansions in the future.

AO’s Head of Retail Development, Jennifer Hollowood-Smith, said: “Our last-mile delivery is central to our business model and customer relationships. We can’t afford to compromise on quality, and we are excited to be working with BluJay. With their systems on board, we are perfectly placed to capitalise on the market and take our business into the next phase of growth.”

“AO.com is a leading light of UK retail,” said Sian Hopwood, SVP B2B Operations at BluJay. “We’re delighted to be working with them as they develop their supply chain operations. Drop shipping is an essential competence for businesses looking to build and maintain strong customer relations in the e-commerce age. BluJay has the expertise and the experience to make AO’s deployment a resounding success.”

About AO

Established in 2000, when the internet was still quite young, AO have grown into a company of 3,000 employees in three countries. AO are the largest online-only white goods and electricals retailer in the UK, yet white goods are only part of the story (although they have sold almost two million washing machines). With an annual turnover of £800m, AO also operate in Germany and the Netherlands. AO is different to most online retailers by owning its own logistics company which allows them to deliver on their promises. They also own Europe’s most sophisticated white goods recycling plant, which allows AO to be the most environmentally friendly retailer in the UK. AO’s purpose is to have the happiest customers by relentlessly striving for a better way.
