A vision of the Ship Manager of the Future and the way ship management companies will interact with their principals in an age dominated by digitalisation and smart technology, will be the subject of discussion at Columbia Shipmanagement’s event during London International Shipping Week (LISW).

Mark O’Neil, CEO of Columbia, will discuss how shipmanagement demands in the future may change and he will examine how the digital revolution and smart technology will change the way management services are delivered to the client and to ships at sea.

Guests attending the event, due to be held in the offices of Marsh Ltd in Tower Place West, 1 in London on Monday September 9th from 3pm until 6pm, will also witness a live link- up to Columbia’s state-of-the-art vessel Performance Optimisation Control Room in Cyprus and see digitalised vessel management in action.

The Digital transformation, Performance Optimisation Control Room and latest smart technologies put in place by Columbia Shipmanagement are optimising the operational performance and efficiency of its clients’ ships and assets, as well as improving the crew safety and welfare at sea.

This will be further discussed By Columbia Shipmanagement Managing Director Andreas Hadjipetrou who will chair a panel discussion with several ship owners to debate how ship managers can add value to ship owners in the future.
