Europa Road Steps Up A Gear With New Partnership.

Europa Road has announced a new partnership with Gardner Distribution, further strengthening its leading logistics operation by expanding its reach across the South West region.

Operating the UK’s largest European groupage hub, Europa Road is part of Europa Worldwide Group, the specialist road, air & sea and warehouse operator. Europa Road’s network of 13 UK branches trunk into Europa’s Dartford HQ, 1Hub, from where freight connects with daily, direct services to 30 continental hubs.

Based on the outskirts of Plymouth, close to the A38 and just three miles off the M5 junction in Exeter, Gardner is strategically placed to allow easy access to all major routes in the South West, to the national motorway network and port of Plymouth. The well-established company was launched in 1963 and prides itself on its dedication to solve pallet distribution problems for customers quickly and efficiently.

The partnership, which began earlier this year, is a mark of Europa’s drive to widen its reach across the West Country. Once goods arrive from Europe into Europa’s Dartford 1Hub, they are transported to a depot in Bristol, where Gardner then take over to deliver the goods across all points of the South West region.

Dionne Redpath, Sales Director, Europa Worldwide Group, is delighted with the new partnership. She comments:

“Gardner has a strong history and is a reliable and trusted name in the South West, with excellent transport connections. We’re excited to work with them and know the partnership will strengthen our offering and services across the region.

“As always, our priority is to consistently deliver a high-quality logistic service across the UK and Europe. Regularly reviewing current and new partnership opportunities allows us to continually improve our offering and most importantly keep our promise of providing an excellent service to our customers.”

Kevin Gardner, Managing Director, Gardner Distribution said:

“We’re really pleased to be partnering with Europa – a business recognised for its high-quality service and a leader within the logistics sector. At Gardner, we pride ourselves on delivering an efficient service for our customers, so it’s great to work with a company which has a similar ethos.

“The operation is running smoothly so far – we’re working directly with the team at its Dartford 1Hub to transport goods from Europe and the UK out to the South West region.”

Earlier this year, Europa Road invested in its non-network solutions offer, creating a brand-new department at its Sheffield branch, focusing on business development and growth of import, export and cross-trade Full and Part Loads in response to market demands.

Europa Worldwide Group is the leading independent logistics firm which has gone from strength to strength, reaching a turnover of £180m in the last financial year, with further growth expected for 2020. It has been an exceptional 12 months for Europa Worldwide Group, the best in the company’s 50-year history. Europa employs over 950 staff and was recently featured in The Sunday Times Top Track 250 for the second time.
