New Telstar Logistics Center In Response To A Sustained Growth Demand And To Accelerate Delivery Times.

Telstar has strengthened the logistics activity with the relocation of its specialized center to a new, larger facility which enables the company to respond to the sustained demand growth, with a 10% rising foreseen for 2020, through an efficient and competitive operational management of logistics activity, in addition of reaching a 30% reduction in delivery time of laboratory equipment.

Located near the headquarters of the firm in Terrassa (Barcelona), Telstar Logistics center covers operational functions involved in the material flow planning and control processes based on three fundamental activities: reception of materials & stock management, picking process and product preparation for production activity and expedition of material for sale & delivering.

With a height of 12.75 meters, the new installation offers 64% higher capacity than the former facility. The modern center occupies a surface area of 1,979 m2 with a storage capacity of 22.542 m3, with space available to accommodate 1,692 bin locations in the new installed shelves. Within a large vertical configuration diaphanous space, the new location suits the specific functional requirements of a high-efficient internal and external logistics assistance.
