NEC Birmingham, June 18-20, Stand 7079.

Businesses searching for warehousing in Yorkshire should head to Birmingham and the Multimodal exhibition at the NEC on June 18-20 to check out the Onward Holdings Ltd stand (7079), where they will find details of a range of options for storage and distribution.

Due to the pressure on the nation’s logistics infrastructure, compounded by firms stockpiling in preparation for Brexit and the growth of online shopping, Onward Holdings is confident that the flexible warehousing options it will be promoting at Multimodal, including a new development in Featherstone, will attract strong interest.

Construction of the firm’s latest warehouse unit at Phoenix Park on the Green Lane Industrial Estate in Featherstone is making rapid progress. The new development will extend to around 67,000sqft including 3,000sqft of first-floor office accommodation with flexibility to extend up to 9,000sqft over three floors subject to occupiers’ requirements

At Multimodal, family-run business Onward Holdings will also be showcasing its prime, 3PL managed warehousing complex at its Willowbridge Lane facility in Castleford where planning permission was recently granted for just under 10,000sqft of premium, modern, open plan office space.

The site is optimising warehouse space through narrow aisle racking and the use of articulated fork trucks, while the two dock level loading doors and several ground level loading doors, including covered loading bays, facilitate the handling of food and non-food related items, computerised order picking and various pallet handling solutions.

Unit 4c at Langthwaite Business Park, South Kirkby, will also be a part of Onward Holdings’ industrial property portfolio at Multimodal. Like the other two locations, ideally situated for a quick getaway to UK markets, this can be a single unit of up to 53,000sqft or, depending on operational needs, can be split into various-sized areas.

Onward Holdings’ director, Neil Storey, said: “Multimodal is a great opportunity for businesses struggling with storage capacity to come to our stand and check out the flexible solutions we can provide in Yorkshire to give them a vital foothold in the northern supply chain. We are confident that we have something for everyone looking for quality warehousing during these challenging times.”

Along with promoting the company’s various locations in Yorkshire, visitors to Onward Holdings’ stand at Multimodal will also be advised about the additional value-added warehouse services available to suit most budgets.

Multimodal is the perfect platform for promoting Onward Holdings’ contribution to the nation’s logistics infrastructure, including 3PL requirements such as Pallet Storage, Container Emptying, Order Picking and Reworking – all controlled by its Manged Warehouse System. Suitable for both durable cargo and ambient food storage, long and short-term leases are available.

Iain McPhail, partner at Knight Frank of Leeds and Andrew Miller of Andrew Miller Chartered Surveyors are advising Onward Holdings.
