Partnership Promises Growth For Eco Energy Systems Supplier And Logistics Firm.

One of the UK and Europe’s leading manufacturers of sustainable heating solutions has joined forces with an expanding distribution company, in a partnership set to boost growth for both parties.

Northants-based supply chain firm The NX Group has recently secured NIBE, an expanding provider of high-tech, energy-saving heating and ventilation systems, as a warehousing and distribution customer. NIBE’s heating supplies – specifically its heat pumps, demand for which is increasing – will be held at The NX Group’s secure warehouse before being distributed nationwide to NIBE’s fully-trained staff of VIP installers.

The installers will benefit from the logistics firm’s prompt delivery turnaround, extensive warehouse space, dedicated fleet and the real-time visibility and responsiveness guaranteed by its transport management system (TMS).

Phil Hurley, Managing Director of NIBE, explained:

“The heat pump market is predicted to expand considerably in the coming years, due to the move towards a low carbon future, so we needed a logistics partner that has the capacity to support the demands of our installer network. We selected The NX Group as part of our commitment to providing the very highest quality delivery service to our installers.

“We are confident that our new distribution partner will help us to build on our reputation as the installer’s preferred choice for heat pumps.”

Mark Moody, Commercial Manager at The NX Group, said:

“With our expanding facility portfolio adding to the secure space at our base in Crick, we are happily in a position to offer increased stock-holding. This means that NIBE’s heat pumps can be stored – and therefore distributed – in greater numbers as demand rises.”

Via Roadrunner, The NX Group’s TMS, delivery drivers and VIP installers will be able to view up-to-the-minute information on vehicle location and estimated time of arrival via SMS. This technology is supported in practical terms by the firm’s recently-expanded, multi-purpose fleet, which is capable of covering all delivery locations and requirements, from large vehicle to individual item despatch. Where orders are placed before 4pm, next-day delivery is also available.

“What gives our service the edge is our closed pallet network: a large proportion of deliveries are handled solely by our own drivers from one central collection point through to delivery, which ensures limited product handling and full traceability. This is especially beneficial for our customers with delicate or high-value goods, such as NIBE, as security at every stage of our supply chain is paramount.

“In line with this, any queries our customers may have are dealt with directly by our dedicated, in-house customer service team,”

Mark Moody added.

Phil Hurley concluded:

“We are expecting to grow our network of fully trained VIP installers significantly in the next few years. We offer a full training package, plus product and after-sales support. This is a very exciting time for our business as we gear up to meet the future requirements of homeowners and developers looking for a greener, cleaner form of energy.”
