Power, Precision And Reliability For Demanding Operations: Introducing The New Yale Platform Stacker.

18 February, 19

Yale Europe Materials Handling is pleased to announce its next generation platform stacker. The new Yale MSX Series platform stacker offers a wider capacity range and a lifting height of up to six metres, making it ideally suited to food, automotive, logistics and retail applications.

The new MSX Series platform stacker is set to make its first public appearance on the Yale stand at the LogiMAT International Trade Fair, taking place in Stuttgart on 19 – 21 February. Yale industry experts and dealers from the company’s extensive network will also be on hand to discuss the range of Yale materials handling equipment on display and offer insight into how customers can optimise their fleet to enhance their overall productivity.

Monica Radavelli, Warehouse Product Manager at Yale, said: “We’re excited to debut our new MSX Series platform stacker at this year’s LogiMAT trade fair. We’ve leveraged our knowledge of industry-specific challenges to evolve the stacker into a solution that can add value to a wide range of applications.”

Meeting application needs
Featuring a folding platform, the MSX Series platform stacker combines the manoeuvrability of a pedestrian stacker with the travel speed of a ride-on truck, helping applications maximise their flexibility and productivity.

Available with initial lift (IL) or straddle leg (SL) options, the Yale platform stacker is ideal for stacking and retrieving palletised goods, stock replenishment, internal load transfer and integration into line feed operations. As well as competitive lift and lower speeds, the new stacker boasts a load capacity of up to 2000kg and a maximum lifting height of six metres.

“The stacker is designed to be both flexible and productive. The initial lift option allows it to travel over uneven floors, ramps and door sills with ease. Alternatively, the stacker can be configured with straddle legs and FEM forks for applications that need to handle both open and closed pallets with precision and reliability,” explained Monica.

The new MSX Series platform stacker can also be configured for cold store applications, enabling it to operate in temperatures as low as -30°C. And for operations with restricted space, such as retail, creep speed control allows the functions of the platform stacker to be used without needing to release the tiller from a vertical position.

Dependability as standard
“Efficient, dependable operation is a key philosophy behind the design of the new Yale MSX Series platform stacker,” explained Monica. “The stacker can service extended and multi-shift work cycles, and its new chassis design features a robust base frame and battery cover, as well as sealed connectors to reduce downtime”.

The stacker’s ergonomics are designed to maximise operator comfort and protection. A panorama mast features a durable Lexan guard to optimise visibility and secure load handling. The steering position of the tiller minimises stress on the operators’ wrists, thumbs and fingers, and there’s always the option of a height adjustable tiller, while the dashboard is positioned in front of the operator making it easy to read and reach.

The operator compartment side arms are quick to open and close, rotating upwards for ease. The platform itself is wide and deep for additional comfort and a rubber floor mat provides excellent grip. The platform stacker also features four-point stabiliser wheels, enhancing the stability of the stacker particularly when cornering.

“We’re looking forward to showcasing the new Yale MSX Series platform stacker to both current and potential customers at LogiMAT. No matter the application and its demands, the MSX platform stacker is prepared for a wide range of materials handling challenges,” concluded Monica.
