Priority Freight, a leading time-critical logistics specialist, has acquired Authorised Economic Operator Full (AEOF) status for its London Heathrow (LHR) operations.

This follows on from the recent news that Priority Freight’s Madrid operations also received AEO status in September.

AEO is a major accreditation which is based on the customs-business partnership developed by the World Customs Organisation (WCO). The achievement provides clients, both domestic and overseas, with high levels of confidence, safe in the knowledge that they are working with a trusted logistics partner. Although AEO is not mandatory, it is becoming a quality standard. The ‘full’ status (AEOF) demonstrates adherence to both globally recognised customs standards and the appropriate security and safety standards in place to protect the international supply chain.

Priority Freight has completed a broad range of strict criteria in cooperation with customs authorities to gain this highly beneficial accreditation. By operating with AEOF, Priority Freight will access a quicker customs procedure, be able to move goods into temporary storage between different member states and be recognised with trading partners that adopt the WCO SAFE Framework of Standards.

Although the process is lengthy, it provides several benefits that can be passed on to Priority Freight clients, such as increased transport security, greater access to customs clearance and better traceability of goods. The development of Priority Freight’s bespoke and sophisticated transportation management system also provides the 24/7 visibility and control needed for clients to effectively monitor their consignment.

Andrew Austin, Group Operations Director at Priority Freight commented,

“AEOF is a major boost for our UK operations. This, along with the recent accreditation for our Madrid operations, shows that we are continuing to push forwards to provide the best expedited logistics solutions to our global clients. When operating in a time-critical scenario, our AEO status reassures and gives increased certainty to our clients. Receiving the AEO accreditation for our LHR operations shows Priority Freight’s secure offering and that our customs controls and procedures are both efficient and compliant.”

These AEO accreditation’s establish Priority Freight as a market leader within the industry and represent its capabilities and consistent ability to deliver the fastest, most cost-effective and reliable solutions, time and time again.

Clients can be confident that, with Priority Freight, they are receiving the highest level of service excellence.
