Rhenus Office Systems took over the French archiving services provider, Archives Assistance Express, on 1 August 2018. The French firm has its headquarters in Aubevoye, about 80 kilometres from Paris. The company, which was founded in 1996, mainly serves customers in the Greater Paris area and in Normandy.

The main operations of the family business, which was previously managed by Rhéal Dupré, involve physical archiving and handling documents. The employees manage confidential documents from about 100 customers at premises measuring 9,000 square metres.

“The sale is our response to the current changes in the market and we have found a good partner in Rhenus in order to be able to continue managing our activities under a new brand with even more services for our customers,” said Rhéal Dupré, the previous owner of AAE, giving the reasons for the development. The sector is expecting increasingly strict quality requirements in the near future. Digital transformation will also be one of the crucial challenges during the next few years.

“The takeover of AAE enables Rhenus Office Systems to gain access to the French market. We are continually expanding our international presence and can therefore offer our customers solutions embracing different countries in the field of document and information management,” said Gerrit Merten, the International Manager at Rhenus Office Systems.
