Take Note: November 19-21 In Miami, XXVIII Latin American Congress Of Ports. Don’t Miss It!

14 August, 19

The traditional meeting that takes place every year in different cities throughout Latin America makes its debut in Miami, United States, to gather more than 400 port leaders and international experts, positioning itself as a must among the industry’s business events.

The 2019 edition is convened by the AAPA in strategic partnership with the Administración Nacional de Puertos of Uruguay (ANP), the Sociedad Portuaria Regional de Cartagena (SPRC), the Ente Administrador Puerto Rosario (ENAPRO) and PortMiami, and will gather the main river and maritime terminals in America, as well as many industry suppliers and trade media that have already confirmed their participation.

This year’s venue will be the Intercontinental Hotel Miami, which is located in the heart of the city’s thriving business and residential district and has amazing views of Biscayne Bay and PortMiami’s extraordinary cruise terminals.

Activities include a technical tour of PortMiami’s facilities, an AAPA Latin American leadership meeting and a business program that will feature presentations from experienced executives and directors from both port authorities and maritime industry companies. These speakers will analyze the macro issues that influence international trade and logistics, present case studies of specific port projects, and discuss news in the shipping business.

In addition to these activities, the event includes an exhibit hall trade show which has been growing in recent years and is already 50% booked for this edition. Without a doubt, this is due to the sustained growth of AAPA Latin American meetings, which was reflected in the resounding success of the Continental Convention held in Valparaíso, Chile, last October.

The intense social and networking activities include a welcome reception at the Rusty Pelican Restaurant in Key Biscayne, a very popular destination characterized by its stunning sea views, and a closing ceremony gala aboard the luxurious Grand Floridian Cruise Yacht, which will set sail from Bayside Marketplace so that every Congress participant can enjoy panoramic views of Miami at all levels.

In short, the event will provide technical and professional knowledge in an atmosphere of camaraderie, sociability and promotion of business relations throughout the port & maritime community worldwide.

For those who do business in this industry, attending the AAPA Congress is key to know what the year’s agenda will bring.
