Tansun Infrared Heaters Offer Maximum Performance And Very Low Running Costs.

Warehouses are traditionally known to be some of the hardest areas to heat. With shutter doors constantly opening and closing and large open spaces, heating seems almost impossible. To combat the vast open spaces, Tansun’s efficient space heaters are the perfect solution.

Tansun manufactures a wide range of infrared heaters to suit a number of environments and recommends products depending on the area to be heated and the height at which heaters will be installed. Products range from 1kW to 6kW but can be designed to work at up to 18kW.

For warehouse use, Tansun’s Apollo range was designed to solve heating issues in problem areas such as factories, gymnasiums, warehouses and places of worship, and with more than 30 models to choose from, this established product has been proven by Tansun for more than 30 years. The heaters come with high power options, special long-lasting aluminium reflectors, a focused energy beam and a high intensity heat unrivalled by other forms of heating for these environments.

An example of a successful warehouse application is the installation of 26 Apollo heaters at specialist coil processor in stainless steel and aluminium Cashmores Metals in Walsall. The company made the switch to infrared heaters in November last year.

Nick Godward, Production Engineer at Cashmores Metals, commented,

“Our sister company The Metal Centre did the research when they were looking to upgrade their heating and it was on their recommendation that we contacted Tansun. The benefit of the heaters is the localised heating, as we no longer have to heat vast areas that are sometimes unoccupied. The staff are pleased with the heaters and we have found the energy usage is negligible in comparison to the kerosene floor heaters we had before. They were very ineffective and with our six-metre roller shutter doors being opened throughout the day the heat that had generated would dissipate very quickly.”

He continued, “The installation was another factor in choosing Tansun, and the parts are similar to a lamp in a light fitting. We estimate a saving on last year’s energy bills including initial start-up costs, purchase, installation and running costs, of approx. £90,000 since it’s installation in November 2018. We were using up to £30,000 per month in kerosene alone, so we would recommend Tansun to others as a cost-effective alternative to ambient heaters because of the easiness of the process and the savings.”

The Apollo range was designed to solve heating issues in large and problem areas, and with more than 30 models to choose from, this established product has been proven by Tansun for 30 years or more. The heaters come with high power options, special long-lasting aluminium reflectors, a focused energy beam and a high intensity heat, which due to the highly engineered construction and design can’t be rivalled by other forms of heating for large open spaces. Robust and made in the UK, Tansun’s Apollo range is durable and long lasting, with some applications still using the original lamp more than 20 years after its initial installation.

Tansun infrared heaters offer maximum performance and very low running costs. They are designed with a ‘fit and forget’ reputation, are reliable, durable and virtually maintenance-free. Features include extruded aluminium heat sinks to keep heaters cool for better reliability. The shortwave technology is also noiseless, doesn’t contribute to air pollution and is compatible with energy saving controllers.

All of Tansun’s products are made in the UK and are designed using premium components. The company has been established for 35 years and pioneered the concept of infrared electric heaters alongside Philips technology. Tansun has the largest range of commercial, industrial and domestic infrared heaters in the world, providing maintenance-free, safe and healthy shortwave heaters for many different types of heating applications.

Tansun heaters are available with a full range of energy-saving controllers which further enhance the efficiency of the products.
