W.E. Deane Opens Two New Depots In Birmingham.

International freight forwarders W.E. Deane has recently expanded its warehousing capacity in the Midlands by opening two new depots in Birmingham.

Bringing the total number of its Midlands depots to three, the two new warehouses will support W.E. Deane’s customer base within the region that include some of the world’s leading automotive manufacturers.

Family owned since 1963, W.E. Deane has a long pedigree within freight forwarding industry that has spanned over 50 years, subsequently establishing itself as one of the most experienced names in the sector.

With branches in the UK, South Africa and the Netherlands, W.E. Deane has a global presence that is underpinned by a bespoke IT System that is tailored to the customers’ requirements providing total visibility across the entire supply chain process.

With vehicles rotating on an hourly basis 24 hours per day, new depots will support the company’s sequencing strategy to OEMs within the Midlands – managing the delivery of components from the point of order through to the line-side.

Trading under the BIFA Conditions of Carriage, W.E. Deane is member of the British International Freight Association and was also one of the first in the industry to be accredited with a British Standard 5750.

The company’s Group Managing Director Rob Falconer commented:

With 70 staff based in the UK, the freight forwarders also have an additional xx employees across their global sites in South African and in the Netherlands.
