BluJay Solutions listed in the 2021 Gartner Market Guide for Multicarrier Parcel Management Solutions

BluJay Solutions, a leading provider of supply chain software and services, is listed as a Representative Vendor in the Gartner 2021 Market Guide for Multicarrier Parcel Management Solutions 1 published this month. BluJay’s Parcel solution is an enterprise class multi-carrier shipping management system that supports complex, high-volume, multi-location, international and domestic shipping. Designed from the ground-up to support black box or attended ship stations in complex distribution environments, the flexible solution is used by thousands of companies every day, including large omni-channel retailers and global manufacturers.

According to the research1, “One of the most fundamental changes in the market affecting parcel management is the accelerated evolution of multichannel and omnichannel commerce driven by the response to COVID-19. This has caused organisations to have to adapt to rapidly increased parcel volumes or adopt shipping of parcels from places they had never shipped from before — simply to survive as a business. Processes like shipping from or returning to the store require small package shipping to be performed by users inexperienced in transportation. Leveraging multiuser, web-based technologies enables distributed users to access a common system to ensure control.”

BluJay’s Parcel has approximately 5,000 global customers and is scalable to handle fluctuating volume in any node/any mode, from one global platform, providing global visibility and access to international shipping services.

“According to the Pitney Bowes Parcel Shipping Index, parcel shipping volume exceeded 100 billion parcels in 2019, a 17.7% increase in global parcel volume since 2018 and 103% growth versus 2015 (51 billion parcels in 2015). On top of this growing trend, there has been a slowdown in economic activity in many sectors in 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19. As a result, many organisations have had to rapidly switch their sales to parcel delivery in order to survive as a business. This has generated increased parcel deliveries and carrier capacity and service constraints. Prior to the pandemic, the index estimated that parcel growth would continue to rise, with global parcel volume most likely to double by 2026 to 220 billion to 226 billion.” 1
