Wise, who specialises in technology for the self-employment industry and particularly in logistics has now launched its industry-leading platform and accompanying mobile app to provide a solution for an array of long-term issues affecting the logistics industry.

These issues include recruiting, onboarding and retaining subcontractors and a variety of tax and compliance requirements.

Already supporting over 180 companies and 10,000 self-employed subcontractors on everything from managing their onboarding and compliance processes to expenses and invoicing, Wise has grown over the past twelve months from a team of eight to a team of 40 industry and technology specialists across Birmingham and London.

Simon Hills, CEO of Wise, said: “For several years, we’ve worked closely with a wide range of businesses in the logistics sector, getting to grips with the issues which affect the industry as a whole. From there, we’ve been hard at work over the last year, creating an all-in-one platform which genuinely addresses these issues and can save businesses and their subcontractors’ money, time, and stress.

“Throughout the last twelve months, we’ve massively expanded the Wise team both in terms of tech and operational resources to create something genuinely revolutionary for the self-employment sector and we’re now looking forward to seeing Wise make a difference within the industry.”
